NBA All-Star Game
The NBA All-Star Game is an annual exhibition game featuring the league’s best players, typically held in mid-February as the highlight of NBA All-Star Weekend. The event includes the Rising Stars Challenge, Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest, Slam Dunk Contest, and the All-Star Game itself. First played in 1951 at the Boston Garden. Traditionally featured Eastern vs. Western Conference teams, but from 2018 to 2023, captains drafted their teams. In 2024, the league returned to the East vs. West format. Fans, players, and media vote for starters, while coaches select the reserves. The Kobe Bryant MVP Award is given to the game’s most outstanding player.
