Fire Walk Day
International Firewalk Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday of April, which in 2025 fell on April 5. This global event honors the ancient practice of firewalking—walking barefoot over hot embers—as a symbol of personal transformation, courage, and resilience. The idea for International Firewalk Day was conceived during the 2017 Firewalk Gathering in Latvia by instructors Stephen Brown, Rolf and Asa Beckman, and Martins and Baiba Vecvanags. Their goal was to promote firewalking beyond its traditional circles and highlight its potential for personal growth. The inaugural celebration took place in April 2018 and has been observed on the first Saturday of April each year since then.
