Extraterrestrial Culture Day

Extraterrestrial Culture Day is an annual observance that takes place on the second Tuesday of February each year. It originated in New Mexico, where it was formally recognized in 2003 through House Memorial 44, introduced by State Representative Daniel Foley of Roswell. The day was created to “celebrate and honor all past, present, and future extraterrestrial visitors” and to acknowledge their cultural impact on New Mexico and beyond.
