Dog Film Festival
The Dog Film Festival is an annual celebration of the bond between dogs and humans, combining entertainment with philanthropy. The festival premieres in New York City each fall and then tours theaters across the U.S. and Canada. In 2025, the NY Dog Film Festival premiere is scheduled for October 26th at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater in NYC. Many observances and screenings also occur around November 6, which is widely recognized as Dog Film Festival Day. A two-hour medley of short films—animated, documentary, and narrative—focused on dogs. Themes include rescue stories, service dogs, adventures, and the joy dogs bring to our lives. 10% of ticket sales benefit local dog rescue organizations in each city where the festival screens.
